Mr. Slonecker has more than thirty-five years of experience in a variety of product development, program management, business development and executive leadership positions. His career has been devoted to transitioning cutting edge technologies into practical products that are used across a wide range of applications and customers. Mr. Slonecker is adept at building high-performing teams that continually meet or exceed customer expectations.
Dr. Sven Brueckner, Chief Scientist of AxonAI, Inc., co-founded the AXON portfolio company in 2013 after leading and managing basic and applied research efforts for more than a decade in the Agent-Based and Complex Systems research group at Jacobs Technology, Inc. He has twenty years experience in multi-agent systems research. His doctoral thesis researches the theoretical foundations of designing self-organizing systems with emergent properties and applies its findings to engineering real-world applications. Dr. Brueckner has been the lead on numerous Swarm Intelligence related R&D efforts. He has authored over twenty papers on agent-based and complex systems’ theory and application. He is named inventor on several patents or patent filings. His strong standing in the academic community is also reflected in his participation in Program and Organizational Committees of many prestigious conferences and workshops.
Andrew Yinger is the Chief Software Architect at AxonAI. He has over twenty years of experience in the IT industry, seventeen of them as a software engineer. He has extensive experience leading software engineering teams, as well as designing and implementing complex agent-based systems. His software expertise includes designing multithreaded, distributed systems that leverage the latest developments in client/server and peer-to-peer remote messaging protocols to achieve concurrent, inter-process, cross-platform communication. His technical leadership includes experience managing projects using a variety of software development techniques and styles, ranging from the more formalized, structured practices such as the Rational Unified Process (RUP), to less traditional, more radical approaches such as Beck’s Extreme Programming. After joining AxonAI as Chief Software Architect at the end of 2013, Andrew designed and built a cross-platform cyber security monitoring and reporting application, implemented to run on multiple types of devices in a dynamic network, communicating critical system information to a centralized intrusion detection model. Andrew was awarded an MS in Software Engineering and Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University in 2003, where his study included work on application that implemented Case Based Reasoning and a patent for an XML-driven speech animation framework for simulating intelligent behavior. In 1994, he received his BA in History from the University of California, Berkeley.
Tom Brock (Chief Operating Officer)
Tom brings over 28 years of experience in the industrial and healthcare technology space. His broad experience spans P&L operations, strategy, product management, IT and sales. He is adept at helping small / mid market companies scale and grow profitably. Tom also brings deep experience in scaling SaaS based software companies; including product strategy, multi-generational product planning, agile development, pricing and channel strategies, implementation and support.
Brandon’s highest level of education is an Associates degree from Blue Ridge Community College in General Education. Mr. Shenk also graduated from Shenandoah Valley Governor’s School, which is a local school for high school students gifted in science, math, engineering, and art.
Emily Dick has a background in astrophysics research, with 3 years of research experience at James Madison University and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Research results were presented at two national conferences and several regional and local conferences.
She received her BS in physics with minors in mathematics and astronomy from James Madison University (2016). She also took coursework in computer science and has experience with Java, MatLab, SQL, IDL, and Python.
